The challenge has begun! I finally opened my Your Shape last night and set it up. It has been sitting on my table for about a week and a half now and I haven’t touched it. It was almost like there was a scary monster in the box that I was afraid to unleash. The time finally came that I could not put it off any longer, so I put on my workout clothes, laced up my Earth Footwear and hooked everything up and gave it a try.
It was really easy to set up and it’s really cool how it shows you on the screen. Here’s a quick Whrrl showing a few screen shots as I got started.
I started off with a 15 minute workout and needless to say Jenny kicked my butt (and a few other parts of my body too). She didn’t give me a break until 12 min into the workout! Come on Jenny lets start this off easy please, I really don’t want to pass out in my living room, it will freak my dogs out.
As I went through the exercises which consisted of jumping jacks, step touches, side steps, turn steps, and various other squats and steps I learned a few things about myself:
1. I am really out of shape, that workout was the longest 15 minutes of my life.
2. It’s a good thing I never became a dancer because I have absolutely NO rhythm, I was tripping all over the place
3. I don’t like to exercise, I kinda already knew this but last night sealed the deal.
As grueling as it was I felt really good after I was done. I am feeling the pain today but its a good pain, its a pain I need to feel. I know this is going to be a long journey and one that will not happen overnight, but I am ready and I am looking forward to feeling better both physically and mentally as make this major change in my life.

You are going to Rock this Kim!!
It is going to be fun to watch your transformation!
I love those questions! I’m going to answer them for myself and stick them up right in frot of my desk. I lost 50 pounds 5 years ago. It slowy creeped back up on me after I had surgery and couldn’t exercise for several weeks and then this year it exploded! I know it’s because I am spending way to much time sitting at my computer and I’ve not been exercising like I know I have to. You sound very determined and I’ll be cheering you on! We’ve been away from home for the last year (for a job) and are going back home at the end of February. We have a treadmill and a Bowflex there and I need to make myself jump back on them. We got a Wii earlier this year, too. I need to use that on a regular basis. I’ll be anxious to see if you like Your Shape. I need all the different options I can get
BTW, I’m guessing you are fairly tall cause you don’t look nearly as heavy to me as what your current weight is…
love this post Kim, WTG !
