I was recently introduced to a company called The Candlemakers Store, a company that specializes in candle making supplies. You can buy supplies to make a few candles or to make a few hundred candles! They have so many scents, colors and jars to choose from its easy to find what you are looking for and everything is priced rather reasonably.

I have tried to make candles in the past and I have run into several problems that have prevented me from making them again.

• The scents/colors are never strong enough.
• The wax shrinks when it cools.
• The supplies are expensive and there is not much variety.
• The wicks float away and move from the center.

The Candlemakers Store sent me a starter kit to try out and see what I thought and I was curious to see if I would have the same problems making candles as I had in the past.

I am happy to report that I was VERY pleased with the candles!  They were very easy to make and the problems I had in the past were no issue with these supplies.

• The scents/colors were very nice! My house smelled fantastic and they smell great while they are burning as well. The color was a bit off.  The color on the bottle was a sort of brownish color and after using a lot of the dye the candles turned out a dark red color.  Even though the color didn’t quite match the dye bottle, it was still a very rich deep color that was not transparent.
• The wax had very little shrinkage once it was cooled.
• The supplies are very reasonably priced and there are so many choices!
• Their patented WickStickers kept the wick right where it was supposed to be, no floating away.

Guess what everyone’s getting for Christmas? LoL.
