I used to bake a lot, (I used to cook a lot too) but between our busy schedules, all the activities, and my shift of interests (social media lol) I just don’t ever seem to find the time anymore.
When Collective Bias asked for participants to bake with the kids and give the baked good to someone in need I jumped at the chance. Not only could I take a break and share my love of baking with my boys but I would also be brightening a friend’s day too. We made peanut butter cookies that... Cooking School At Giant Eagle Market District
A few weeks ago I was invited to attend a cooking class at the Giant Eagle Market District in Robinson. I have never taken a formal cooking class and I love watching all of the cooking shows on The Food Network, so I was very excited to see what it was all about. Being at the Market District Cooking School was like having a front row seat to a cooking show on TV.
The class, taught by Chef Scott Weddell, was called Under Pressure and it introduced us to the technique of sous vide... Rice Krispies Holiday Recipe Box Challenge ~ Gingerbread Rice Krispies Treats
You may remember earlier this year I took part in a Rice Kripies Challenge for Easter through The Motherhood. Throughout the year there have been several rounds of challenges all loaded with fantastic ideas and recipes. To finish out the year Rice Krispies issued one final challenge and asked the ambassadors who participated throughout the year to come back for one more round! This time our theme was Holiday Recipe Box. Here is my submission for this final round, I hope you... It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year ~Cold Stone Creamery Hot Cocoa Time
I am not a fan of cold weather, but the change in climate is perfect reason to break out the hot cocoa. I don’t drink coffee, so when others are reaching for their cup of joe, I go for the hot cocoa. Even though I drink hot cocoa all year round, it always tastes best during the cold winter months.
Last week we were visiting family after Thanksgiving so my husband could go deer hunting on my aunt’s property. Normally when we visit the kids are outside with their cousins from... Tempt My Tummy Tuesday ~ Easy Chicken Parmesan Toss Up

Over the last week or so Collective Bias has started a little debate on Twitter called #baconorchocolate. We have been asking people if they had to choose between bacon or chocolate, which would be their choice. I say why should you have to choose! Put chocolate on your bacon!
Here is a little recipe I tried out over the weekend that would be great for upcoming tailgating and football parties.

My recipe for round 3 was inspired by a local Pittsburgh restaurant called Pirmanti Brothers. At Pirmanti’s the put the side dishes (cole slaw...
