I have always been a huge fan of Scholastic Book Clubs.  When I was in school I would get so excited when the teacher would pass out the book club order forms and I get just as excited now when my kids bring them home!  I have also been the Scholastic Book Fair Chairperson at my kid's elementary School for the past 8 years and it brings me joy each and every time to see how excited the kids in the school are about books and reading.  Unfortunately in this economy sometimes books are not so high on the priority list.  That's why I am so excited to share with you a great program from Kellogg's and Scholastic!

Right now on the shelves of Walmart, as a way to help spread Scholastic's Global Literacy Campaign message "Read Every Day, Lead a Better Life," there are 1,000s of specially marked packages of Kellogg's  products that have special codes on them that allow consumers to receive FREE books from Scholastic! FREE BOOKS!  For every 2 codes you redeem you will receive a $5 book credit from Scholastic!

How to Get Your FREE Scholastic Books

Getting your free books is as easy as

  1. Going to your local Walmart and purchasing your favorite Kellogg's item
  2. Going to and entering your code
  3. Redeem your codes online with Scholastic or through your child's classroom Scholastic book order.

There is no limit to the number of free books you can receive! If your kids have enough books already or you don't have kids, you should consider redeeming your codes and donating your free books to a classroom or a child you know who may not be able to afford books on their own.

Thank you to Kellogg's, Scholastic, and Walmart of helping promote literacy through this generous program.

Disclosure ~ I received free Kellogg's products as compensation for sharing this info, all thoughts and opinions are my own, I love all of the companies mentioned in this post, free cereal or not ;)
