Get Your Fridge Organized For Back To School

It’s that time of year again….back to school time. Back to schedules, back to homework and back to lots of papers and permission forms. I can’t tell you how many times I have misplaced an important paper from school that needed filled out, or couldn’t find the lunch menu so the kids could see if they want to eat at school. With 4 kids in 4 different schools with 4 different schedules its very easy to get disorganized.

This year I’m ready! I have made really cute personalized clipboards for every member of the family to keep on the fridge and keep us all organized.

Here’s a step by step tutorial so you can make your own.

Materials and supplies

  • non plastic clip board
  • scrapbook paper
  • Elmer’s glue mixed with water to form a thin paste
  • foam brush
  • ribbon
  • stickers, embellishments of your choice
  • letter stickers
  • glue gun
  • magnets

I found these clipboards at Office Depot

Trace the outline of your clipboard on the scrapbook paper

Cut the scrapbook paper to the right size

Cover the surface of the clipboard with the glue mixture

Place the scrapbook paper on the clipboard and cover with another generous coating of glue mixture

using your fingers smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles

Add any embellishments and cover with a coating of glue.

Using the letter stickers, put your name on the clip of the board

Wrap a piece of ribbon across the bottom of the clipboard and secure on back using the glue gun. This is to tuck the papers into so they don’t flap around.

Using the glue gun, attach the magnets on the back of the clipboard. If your clipboard slides down your fridge, it may be due to the smoothness of the magnets. If this happens glue a small piece of ribbon over the magnet to prevent this from happening.

Place your clipboard on the fridge and fill them up!
