I hope you’ll never have to know.

We’ve lost a baby girl you see,
An angel in our eyes
God chose to take her hand today
And led her to the skies.
But please do not forget our girl
She was a person too
And forever she will live

In that land way up above
She’s snuggled in an angels wings

She was so very, very special

God looked around his garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes.
He whispered to you ” Peace be Thine ” and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free from pain,
We would not wish you back on earth to suffer once again.
You’ve left us precious memories, your love will be our guide.
You’re always be by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
This is so beautiful, she is so beautiful. I know you may think I am crazy but my dad came to me last night in my sleep and he told me that he would watch over Baby Annie when she got up to Heaven and he would make sure she would be okay. I am sure many in your family who have already passed on will be watching over her as well. I never got to meet Annie but she is still in my heart. What a beautiful princess angel girl.

Time. No, it doesn’t heal, but for me it has been kind. Time is the only thing that gives my heart a break from being so sore and heavy. There are days it feels as if my heart is swelling like a busted ankle and there are hands wrapped so tightly around it, squeezing tighter by the second. It’s odd how a heart can feel sore as if it’s bruised, but it can. There is really no way to understand the ache inside a mom’s chest unless you are one of us.
Your poem is filled with points only one of us would know. It’s beautifully written; I’m so very saddened by your loss and pain. My heart now hurts for you and your family.
Cherish time; every second that passes by puts you closer to the unthinkable. Minutes will pass since you last thought of her. Minutes turn into hours and eventually days. Don’t feel bad or as if you’re doing Annie wrong; you’re not. Time is a blessing and gives your sore and heavy heart a break. Annie knows she is never far from your thoughts and never leaves your hearts.

Dear Kim,
I don’t know if you got my email but I am just thinking of you and your family in my prayers. My family went through a similar situation too. I know that you are all going through so much. But I am thinking of you and your family and most of all of Annie- stay strong. I am here for you if there is anything I can do, or just to listen.
Our hearts are saddened today as we hear this news but know that your family is filled with love and your strength will be a blessing. We will be praying for your family and heaven’s newest angel, Annie.
I am reminded of a poem I saw years ago that I’d like to share:
When God calls little children,
to dwell with him above,
we mortals sometimes question,
the wisdom of his love.
No heartache will compare,
with the death of one small child,
who does so much to make our world,
seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to his fold,
