This huge jar of Ragu is made completely out of veggies and pasta! It took them 15 hours to create it for Blogher.


Did you notice how yummy the food looked? The Upsidedown Deep Dish Pizza was wonderful! Here are a few of the recipes from Ragu so you can try these great dishes out for yourself at home. The great thing about using Ragu in your cooking is that Ragu provides a full serving of vegetables so you can be sure your family is getting great nutrition as well as a yummy meal.

Upsidedown Deep Dish Pizza

4 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes
Stand Time: 10 minutes
$13.76 for recipe; $3.44/serving

1 lb. ground beef
1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) Ragú® Old World Style® Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce
1 package (10 oz.) frozen chopped broccoli OR spinach, thawed and squeezed dry (optional)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 8 oz.)
~1 can (10 oz.) refrigerated pizza dough

Preheat oven to 375°. Brown ground beef in 12-inch nonstick skillet; drain and season, if desired, with salt and ground black pepper. Stir in Ragú® Old World Style® Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce and bring to a boil; turn into 2-quart baking dish.

Top with broccoli, then cheese. Place pizza dough over dish, sealing edges tightly.

Bake 20 minutes or until crust is golden. Let stand 10 minutes.

Chicken Margherita

4 servings

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes
$8.52 for recipe/$2.13 per serving

4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 1 lb.)
1 Tbsp. olive oil
2 cups Ragú® Old World Style® Margherita Smooth Pasta Sauce
4 slices fresh or packaged mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz.)
2 Tbsp. thinly sliced fresh basil leaves

Season chicken, if desired, with salt and black pepper. Heat oil in 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat and brown chicken, turning once, about 5 minutes.

Add Ragú® Old World Style® Margherita Smooth Pasta Sauce and simmer covered 5 minutes or until chicken is thoroughly cooked. Top chicken with cheese, then let stand until cheese is melted, about 1 minute. Garnish with basil.

Serve, if desired, with hot cooked penne pasta topped with additional Ragú® Old World Style® Margherita Smooth Pasta Sauce, heated.

HEARTY BAKED RIGATONI

8 servings

Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 30 minutes
$10.12 for recipe; $1.27/serving

1 lb. rigatoni or large tube pasta, cooked and drained
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 8 oz.)
1 cup ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) Ragú® Old World Style® Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce, divided

Preheat oven to 350°. Toss hot rigatoni, 1-1/2 cups mozzarella, ricotta, parmesan and 1/2 jar Ragú® Old World Style® Sweet Tomato Basil Smooth Pasta Sauce; turn into 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Evenly pour on remaining Pasta Sauce.

Bake covered 30 minutes or until heated through.

Top with remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and let stand until cheese is melted.
