I have always enjoyed traveling but never really got to do much of it.  We would goto the beach each summer and that was about as far as I would get.  I have always  wanted to travel more and since I have started blogging my wish has come true.  Over the last year I have been fortunate enough to visit the following places

Nashville, TN ~ my first blogging conference  Blissdom! It was so exciting to meet all of my Twitter friends and form new friendships that have continued to blossom.  The wealth of information was so overwhelming for a newbie, but without it I don’t know where I would be today.

Austin, TX ~ SXSW Interactive, what an experience this was! Felt like a lost fish in the sea but made some FANTASTIC friends and connections.

Chicago, IL ~ Blogher! What a great time, so many faces, so little time. And who could forget BowlHer! BEST party EVER!

Ocean Isle, NC ~ Thanks to Lee at the Ocean Isle Inn, I was able to take my family to the beach this summer, we had a great time

Ashville, NC ~ Type A Mom Conference, of all the places I went last year I got the most out of this conference, thanks Kelby, can’t wait for this year.

Las Vegas, NV ~ Blog World Expo, by now I am not only meeting new people, but getting to see all of the fantastic friends I have made over the last year and having the time of my life.

Columbus, OH ~ My first speaking gig! I was a guest at the Abbott Nutrition HQ for an employee training day, I spoke on a panel with @organizersandy and @girlfriendology about social media and brands.

What a whirlwind it has been and its all starting over again! I can’t wait to see all of my friends again, learn from the best and have fun.  Here’s where I’m heading now!

Austin, TX ~ Genesis of A Great Idea

 

Next week I will be back in Austin, but this time I will be a guest of Genesis Today where I will be helping judge the Genesis of a Great Idea Contest with other members of the Collective Bias Community.  I can’t wait to hear the awesome social media ideas the finalists will be presenting!

I am so excited to see Dr. Lindsey and the others from Genesis again, I first met them at Blog World Expo and Dr. Lindsey was very inspirational and a wealth of health knowledge.  While we are there we will have the opportunity to spend time with Dr. Lindsay asking him whatever questions are on or minds, or on yours. If you have something you would like me to ask Dr. Lindsey, let me know and I will be more than happy to present your question to him!

Nashville, TN ~ Blissdom

 

The first week of February I will be heading back to where it all began Blissdom! If you ever want to know how to put on a conference, take lessons from Ali Worthington and Barbara Jones, they really know how to rock a conference.  This year not only are there amazing Wisdom Workshops (where I can’t wait to learn about photography from the best) but the sessions are amazing and can you say Harry Connick Jr.!! OMG Harry freaking Connick Jr. I think I might die and go to heaven or at least be blissful for a few days

Orlando, FL ~ Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

 

After spending a few relaxing days in Nashville after the conference with my best friend, I am heading straight to Orlando for the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration!

I made a tough decision to go alone and not bring the rest of my family, even though the price for the conference is AMAZING thanks to Disney, the airfare is just way to high for 6 of us to go Hopefully they will do this again and I will have another chance to take everyone with me.

Of everything I have done I think this is gonna top my list. I love all things Disney. I can’t wait to see the awesome things Disney has planned for us and I am looking forward to spending a little quality alone time with my Nikon D5000 and getting some amazing shots.
