Our Vacation to Ocean Isle Beach, NC
This year for our family vacation we headed to Ocean Isle Beach, NC. OIB is one of North Carolina’s southernmost barrier islands. It is about 30 miles north of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We have never been this far south the beach before, mainly because it is a 12 hour drive for us to get there, normally we take the 7 hour trip to Ocean City, Maryland. I can tell you that OIB is worth every minute of the 12 hour drive, even with 4 kids fighting in the van lol.

Ocean Isle Inn Weekend at the Beach Giveaway
Going to the beach is a tradition in our family we have been going just about every summer for the last 20 years or so. We usually go to Ocean City, MD, stay on the boardwalk, soak up some sun and spend lots of money!
This year we considered going to the Outer Banks, we even went so far as to look at houses on the beach that would fit the extended family for a great getaway. I couldn’t believe how much more space you can get in NC as opposed to the small condo we usually rent in OC. ...
